Cape Town abuzz with gaming enthusiasts

Oculus Rift Virtual Reality 1CAPE TOWN, (CAJ News) – THE eagerly-anticipated Oculus Rift Virtual Reality will make a surprise appearance at this weekend’s Gaming Expo in Cape Town.

The gear will be previewed at the expo scheduled for the Canal Walk Shopping Centre.

Canal Walk Shopping Centre and BT Games are staging this weekend’s Gaming Expo, which has attracted thousands of visitors – young and old – confirmed that the highly anticipated gear would be during Saturday and Sunday.

A design school, which has agreed to demonstrate its capabilities at the Gaming Expo, is trialing the Oculus Rift.

“This is an exceptional opportunity to explore a new paradigm and one that will affect all of us in some way shape or form. We would like to thank Learn 3D and Oculus for this incredible opportunity to have a look into the future,” said Vanessa Herbst, Marketing Manager at Canal Walk Shopping Centre.

The Rift is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2016, making it one of the first consumer-targeted virtual reality headsets.
