Operator introduces long term data scheme

MTN logoJOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – IN what is said to be a first in the South African market, MTN has launched data bundles valid for 12 months.

Officials said MTN Data4Keeps, reaffirms MTN’s commitment to innovation, delivery of a bold new digital world and the company’s ongoing commitment to provide tailored and streamlined products and solutions that meet and
exceed the needs of its customers.

Larry Annetts, Sales and Marketing Executive for MTN South Africa, said the company understood the users’ frustration of having to lose unused data despite the fact that data validity period was a universally applied practice.

“Our customers use data as a primary source of staying connected to the internet and surfing the internet, and what better way to provide them with a distinct customer experience than by introducing data bundles that consumers can keep for as long as it is available.”

MTN Prepaid customers can move to the MTN Data4Keeps price plan by dialing *141*4*7#. Contract customers can open an MTN Data4Keeps 500MB price plan at R69 p.m x24 by visiting their nearest MTN Store.

Once customers are on the MTN Data4Keeps prepaid or contract price plan they can also purchase MTN Data4Keeps bundles. Any MTN Data4Keeps Bundle purchases will carry a 365 day expiry from the moment a customer loads
same to their MTN Data4Keeps price plan or package.  The Data4Keeps Bundles can be purchased by dialling *141*2*999.

MTN Data for keeps will be available to the first 100 000 customers during the promotional period.
