DDOSLAGOS, (CAJ News) – SOME Nigerian companies have joined a programme to provide East and West African companies with leading security solutions.

Leading value-added distributor, Networks Unlimited, made the announcement amidst increasing reports of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.

The Nigerian companies have joined the Arbor Advantage Partner Programme by Arbor Networks.

Networks Unlimited will distribute the Arbor’s Peakflow, Pravail and Cloud solutions to Business Connexion ICT Services Ltd, one of the largest ICT services providers in Africa, and SMSAM Systems Ltd, a leading provider of advanced enterprise IT security solutions to many of Africa’s largest
financial services companies, who together service 16 countries within East and West Africa.

Bryan Hamman, territory manager for sub-Saharan Africa at Arbor Networks, said the impact of a DDoS attack WAS not the same for every organisation.

“If you operate a global network, or one in which Web and application availability is a necessity for your employees, customers and supply chain partners, Arbor Cloud is your solution,” he said.

He said with DDoS protection from Arbor Cloud and the Pravail Availability Protection System, enterprises can deploy best-practices defence in a single solution, with tightly integrated mitigation from the enterprise premise to the cloud.

Hamman said Arbor Networks had the most experience in fighting DDoS attacks for complex and demanding networks.

“Now West African companies can protect themselves from looming cyber threats,” added Hamman.
