Telecel pays out $60 000 in customer rewards

HARARE  – TELECEL Zimbabwe, the mobile operator, has given away prizes worth over US$60 000 in the recently ended Bundle Mania and the ongoing Cash Boosta promotions.

Winners in the Bundle Mania, which ran from February 14 to April 30, were rewarded for buying the popular MegaBoost combo package as well as Facebook, WhatsApp and Wi-Fi bundles.

Some 12 winners walked away with solar panels each, 12 winners with a cow each, a laptop each for 12 lucky customers and a Samsung tablet each for 25 subscribers.

In addition, two winners went home $1 000 richer each in cash prizes.

Grocery vouchers, electricity tokens, airtime and Telecare subscriptions were also part of the Bundle Mania prizes that had already been given away.

In the Cash Boosta, 38-year-old Esther Rushika, who lives in Chitungwiza, has walked away with the grand prize of $10 000.

Obert Mandimika, the Telecel Zimbabwe Communications and Branding Director, said congratulated the winners and thanked them for their support.

“This is a way of Telecel giving back to its valued subscribers for sticking with us through difficult times,” he said.

Mandimika disclosed the company was working on new offers to be rolled out to ensure Telecel continued rewarding its customers.

“We are also revising our key products to ensure we keep giving the best value for money,” he said.

The third-largest operator is also working on changes to the MegaBonus and voice bundles as well as refining its data bundle prices.
