Samsung’s A Series launches in SA

JOHANNESBURG – SAMSUNG Electronics South Africa has confirmed the local availability of the GALAXY A3 and GALAXY A5, the first smartphones in its A series.

The range is said to be the slimmest in the company’s smartphone range.

Officials said these would further strengthen its mid-segment market positioning and expand its hold within the smartphone market.

The devices, announced in October and December respectively, feature refined full metal body designs that are 6,9 mm and 6.,mm thin, respectively.

“The A Series’ upmarket good looks showcase Samsung’s outstanding understanding of design. It’s a perfect accessory for style-conscious
consumers.

“The duo comes with 5MP front facing camera – the ultimate selfie taking tool,” says Justin Hume, Director of Product Marketing, Integrated Mobility at Samsung Electronics SA.

The GALAXY A3 is priced at R 4 999, the Samsung GALAXY A5 is priced at R
6499.
