JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – CENTRE for African Journalists (CAJ) News Africa, the premier news service provider, has announced major company appointments and re-assignments.
The announcement follows increased local, continental and international growth.
Chief Executive Officer, Mr Savious-Parker Kwinika, on Tuesday confirmed the elevation of long serving company executive, Mr Mthulisi Sibanda, as the news organisation’s substantive Editor.
Ms Naledi Modise, who has previously been at Caxton Media, has been roped in as Africa Editor.
GIFT WEBTechnology journalist, Mr Gift Ndolwane, becomes the Africa Online/Technology Editor while Deputy Editor Mr Tintswalo Baloyi becomes Executive Editor.
“Our Pan African news brand has continued to rise and shine in an unmatched style both locally and internationally. Despite the tough global economic conditions prevailing, our specialised journalists remained focused, developed shock absorbers and great resilience under the stewardship of Sibanda,” said Mr Kwinika in Johannesburg.
“Interestingly, my team managed to show huge commitment to the organisation, insurmountable loyalty, focus as well as understanding the company’s vision for the African continent.
“I have no doubt the newly appointed team will continuously and successfully embrace the futuristic technology, which is our key driver to the business across the entire continent and beyond,” Mr Kwinika said.
He said Mr Sibanda’s elevation and that of Ms Modise’s appointment would continuously make the difference for CAJ News Africa in the South African media market and the rest of the continent as well as expansion to Asia, Europe and Middle East.
Naledi ModiseKwinika also thanked several partners in both private and public sector for supporting the Pan African brand saying the news organisation would continue delivering objective and uncontaminated news content for the continent.
“Our news content has never been diluted under Sibanda, and we look forward to consolidate our position as the most trusted Pan African news agency that reports the continent with objectivity.
“I have been receiving complimentary from both private and public media across Africa for reporting objectively, something that many mushrooming news agencies have been failing,” said Mr Kwinika.
He said CAJ News Africa has been eating hugely on traditional foreign news agencies share operating across Africa and beyond.
“This is because foreign news agencies do not articulate the true African story as we do as a result many media houses ranging from online, newspapers, radio and televisions have seen our value is second to none,” he said.
CAJ News Africa is based in Johannesburg, South Africa with bureaus across the continent, mainly southern Africa, east Africa and west African regions.
