Mobile subscribers urged to report telcos’ disservice

MOBILE network subscribersABUJA, (CAJ News) – MOBILE network subscribers have been urged to report their grievances through platforms the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has offered.

The advice to use the regulator’s toll free number to air clients’ complaints comes amid poor services delivery blamed on the network operators.

“If you have issues with your service provider and you are not getting the needed service or attention to fix the issue from your service provider, then you can call NCC toll free – 622 to lodge your complaint,” said NCC  Zonal Controller, Austin Odo.

He was representing Executive Chairman, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, at the Ebonyi Youth Development Submit on ICT in Education in Akanu Ibiam International Conference Centre, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

In July this year, NCC released a dial toll free customer care line – 622, which customers can use to report unsatisfactory service from their service provider.

The introduction of the service came on the back of poor service provision by the mobile operators.

NCC has punished the companies through fines, but it appears such action is not deterrent.
