Microsoft maintains resolve to fight graft

ABUJA, (CAJ News) – MICROSOFT, the international technology group, has  rekindled its partnership with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to effectively tackle corruption in Nigeria.

The country’s representative and managing director of Microsoft Nigeria  Limited, Kabelo Makwane, pledged the company’s commitment in that regard following a meeting with Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, in Nigeria.

Makwane lauded the renewed vigour deposed by the EFCC in fighting corruption in the country.

He said they were in the commission to rekindle their partnership with the  EFCC and to participate fully in protecting the anticorruption agency’s  intellectual properties and rights.

Magu welcomed the partnership with Microsoft.

He stressed the importance of the use of modern technology in fighting  corruption.

“We will continue to work with you for mutual interest,” he told the Microsoft executive.

Microsoft, headquartered in the United States, is one of the world’s  prominent technology firms.
