NCC lauded for international awards haul

NCCABUJA, (CAJ News) – SMILE Telecoms Holdings has congratulated the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on winning the African Regulator of the year award for 2015.

Smile Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Irene Charnley, commended Vice Chairman of Prof. Umar Garba Dnabatta and the entire staff of the commission.

“Available statistics and evidence from our own operations in Nigeria, convinces us that under your leadership, the NCC will continue to win  accolades and that indeed, Nigeria and Africa will benefit from the
innovative interventions the commission continues to introduce,” said  Charnley.

Charnley said it was Smile’s expectation that the award would spur the NCC on to become more innovative in its efforts to ensure that Nigeria met the  targets it set for itself in the Nigerian National Broadband Plan.

The commission won the award at African Information Technology and  Telecoms Awards recently in Ghana. It recently won another award, the  European Award for Best Practices 2016, won in Brussels, Belgium to its collection.

The latter was “in recognition of its outstanding commitment, support and results in quality management strategies.”

  1. Great advice Debbie, I do hope my cousin will read this and take it to heart. He, like many talented people are not happy in their retimerent years, and they have so much to offer! Is this more common with men? How can friends and families help?
