JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – A new business management and marketing training programme has been launched to develop South Africa’s upcoming black-owned entrepreneurs and businesses.

Launched in Johannesburg, Siyandiza, the programme, is the result of a partnership between Shanduka Black Umbrellas, a national non-profit enterprise development incubator, and internet-related services and products tech giants, Google South Africa.

The Siyandiza (We are flying) launch became a catalyst to discuss various topics pertaining to issues geared towards accelerating small black businesses.

“We continue steadfastly in our commitment towards creating an enabling environment for small businesses because it remains economically imperative to accelerate small businesses as SMEs form the backbone of our country’s economy,” says Shanduka Black Umbrellas Chief Executive Officer, Seapei Mafoyane.

Google Head of Communications and Public Affairs, Mich Atagana, highlighted the role of technology in helping small businesses.

“Technology forms the basis of our lives as we live in the technology era. Therefore, technology plays an integral role in accelerating small business and further helps in fostering relationships of trust between a business and its market,” says Atagana.
