JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – MTN South Africa has appointed Maxwell Takalani Nonge as the new Chief Digital Officer.

Nonge’s appointment will be effective September 1.

Mteto Nyati, MTN SA Chief Executive Officer, says the company is strengthening its executive team.

“MTN is delighted to bring on board a candidate of Nonge’s calibre. The appointment of Nonge gives expression to our recruitment strategy of attracting talent from across the broad range of industries. As our business moves into adjacent areas such as digital and enterprise, we have to adapt our business model and structures to support these changes.”

Nonge is an accomplished professional who has extensive experience in the telecommunications and broadcasting space. He has worked for a number of organisations in a career spanning approximately 17 years where he served in a number of roles.
