Reprieve for destroyed Lagos food company

LAGOS, (CAJ News) – A prominent online transportation network company has come to the rescue of a fruit juice and meals operation which was razed down after Lagos State Government demolished some properties in Ikoyi recently.

Nuli Juice was among properties destroyed properties “causing environmental nuisance, traffic snarls and a security threat.”

Uber said it was celebrating cities and supporting local Nigerian business by uniting with the community to help Nuli Juice continue its operations.

This Thursday Uber will assist by delivering a combo deal to the doorsteps of Nuli fans. Each order costs N2 000.

Officials said demand was going to be high, hence Uber and Nuli Juice asked those requesting to be patient and keep trying.

“We are heartbroken by the loss of our store but we are deeply grateful to Uber and our community for supporting us in this difficult time. The support from drivers, riders and Uber will help us get back on our feet and to continue to deliver to our loyal fans,” said Ada Osakwe, Nuli Juice founder.

Ebi Atawodi, General Manager for Uber West Africa, said the company loved celebrating cities and a #MadeinNigeria business.

“Since the recent loss of the Nuli Juice store in Ikoyi, we are happy to see the city has come together in its true spirit to show support,” said Atawodi.

UberNuli is only available in Lagos.
