Partners drive West Africa internet adoption

MainOne’s Tier III Data Center, MDX-iLAGOS, (CAJ News) – A partnership aimed at driving internet use across the West African region has been sealed in Lagos.

MainOne, the data centre solutions company, announced the partnership with Minkels, part of the publicly traded company Legrand.

Funke Opeke, Chief Executive Officer of MainOne, said the partnership followed a need for world class, carrier-neutral co-location data center in Nigeria.

“The market demand rapidly outstripped the co-location space in our landing station and necessitated the construction of a purpose built Tier III facility with 600 rack capacity,” she said.

Christiaan van Terheijden, CEO of Minkels, expressed delight at the partnership.

“We see MainOne as a company that knows how to drive internet use across the West African region,” said Terheijden.
