Lagos adopts technology to enhance service delivery

LAGOS, (CAJ News) – THE launch of a mobile application is set to facilitate interaction between government and citizens and eventually improve service delivery.
The application, called Citizens Gate and launched under the Citizens Relations Management initiative, enables citizens the opportunity to make enquiries and provide suggestions on government services.
Commissioner for Science and Technology, Olufemi Odubiyi, said the launch of the app at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa was part of initiatives by government to enhance service delivery.
“The platform is designed to promote communication and connectivity between citizens and government while it will also enable citizens to inform the government on problems and issues occurring in their areas, communities and beyond.”
The application is said to be the first such platform in Nigeria.
It is downloadable from Google, Apple and Android platforms.
