Huawei’s hails awards double at AfricaCom 2017
JOHANNESBURG – LEADING global information and communications technology solutions provider, Huawei, is celebrating two prestigious awards conferred at the recently-ended AfricaCom 2017 awards.
The company received the Delivering Excellence in Customer Experience” and “Best Innovation in Broadcast – Broadband Convergence” jointly received with MTN and Telkom respectively.
The awards clinched in Cape Town recognise Huawei’s continued contribution to the improvement of customer experience and offerings available in the telecommunications industry in Africa.
The first award recognises MTN’s deployment and implementation of the Huawei Customer Experience Management (CEM) solution in MTN SA.
It helps MTN proactively manage the experiences of its customers, focusing on individual customers and each service level.
The award alongside Telkom is for the introduction of the Telkom LIT_video service in South Africa.
The service is the first of its kind in South Africa and aims to address the need for video entertainment services without the data usage concern.
At AfricaCom 2017, Liquid Telecom, a subsidiary of Econet Global, partnered with Huawei to deliver 100G upgrades to its network in South Africa. Huawei in addition released its Envision 4K Video Solution in Africa, aimed at assisting telecoms carriers in developing and optimising video as a fundamental service with the best user experience.
